Yambol (or Jambol) is a town in southeastern Bulgaria located on the Tundja river. It is a commercial center and produces textiles, machinery, ceramics, and furniture. There are mineral springs nearby. The city was known in Roman times. The ancient Thrachian town of Kabile is several km to the north of the town.
