Lake village is a housing project which will be build not far away from the second biggest lake in Bulgaria - lake Ticha, at the foot of the eastern Old Mountain and its altitude is 400 m. The village has a population of 285 persons. The international road E7,which connects Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, passes through the village . There is from the housing project Lake village a wonderful panorama towards the lake and the high peaks of the mountain. Lake Ticha is the second biggest lake in Bulgaria with circumference of 100 km. Its depth reaches 60 m at some places. There are in its waters a great variety of fishes - carp, sheat-fish, grey mullet, perch etc. For the fishing fans the cost of an annual permit is 15 lv. 12 km away from the lake village is situated one of the biggest hunting centres in Bulgaria. Red deer, roe deer, wild boar, foxes, jackal and wildcat are the most typical representatives of the wildlife inhabiting the territory of the centre. Among the finest trophies gained here is one for red deer with a weight of antlers of 12.340 kg and 236 CIC points.
